(vs 1)     woke-up today - knowing what lies ahead - laid off

                     My job now three weeks - and on the brink and feel

                     Like I'm sinking - losing my mind - trying to walk

                     A straight line - just to sob - complain and be angry -

                    You see it's just not for me - need to go back the way

                    Always be - at my job for 15 plus years - everyday

                    Working hard at the copper/ore mill - repair - oil - and

                    Grease all the machines - - in the job that I so much

                    Sitting here alone and feel like a log - a temporary lay-off

                    so I was told - so until that time now everything

     (vs 4)     when work is done - and out of the sun - off I go to my

                    Favorite bar - and not being far - walking my path -

                    Here I go - to the hometown "Tiki Bar" where all my

                    Troubles drift away - playing cards - shooting pool -

                    Retired Joe - same mill and me - myself and I

                    At the hometown bar that we love - kicking

                    A storm - not showing a care - now that where hear
