                A short time ago - by himself here in this

                Small park - - with my move to the south - with many

                Problems I had - - - while living in the city

                Of New York

(Vs 2)     So I moved to the south - - being South Carolina to forget

                My past and left all my troubles behind - - once

                Married - - but not long - - thought my life was complete - -

                But only to find my wife leaving me for another

                Man - - - being married only six months

(C)          This older man -- passed away - -  but before he left - -

                At his bedside - - held my hand - -  and told me at the

                End of that rainbow -- there will be that pot-of-gold -

                Cherish this and move on with your life -- one day you

                Will meet that special someone that will appear in your

                Life - - - your young - - don't worry she will come - I will

                Never forget about this older man -- I met that day in -

                That park in the South

(Vs 3)     Yes I had emotional problems - just needed to

                Get away - so off I went - to find a new life - the

                Women I loved broke my heart and left me

                Alone in the dark - - -  but that day -- I remember well

                Because the darkness had just set-in

(Vs 4)     Me and this older man were the only two left in that park - -

                So we sat and talked of many things - and the problems

                I had -- and problems he faced were similar in

                Many ways - - come to find out - - this older man had

                Been alone for many years - for his wife also left him after six months

(Vs 5)     this older man -- alert and wise -- smart and educated

               Told me things I've never heard - - I seemed to

               Feel like a new man -- that brought my life around - -

               And all started with this older man - - that

               One day - - in that park

(C)         This older man -- passed away - - but before he left - -

              At his bedside - - held my hand - - and told me at the

              End of that rainbow -- there will be that pot-of-gold -
