Our Homeless Although Not Forgotten Vietnam Veteran

This "Heart-Rending" story  - is all about this man "Jake M" - a homeless

"Vietnam Veteran" - in age high 60's or mid 70s - - looked worn out - and

Know could not go much longer - - I met Jake while I was walking

On a trail in my hometown "Cedarburg Wisconsin" - - - noticed a small

Tent tied to trees

Went over and met Jake - and we talked - the first thing he said

Was he loved this town - - the inherent charm and unspoiled beauty -

Of this quaint town - people being kind and friendly (like you) and seems

Always there to help when in need - - - with the exception of only

A few that considered me a nuisance and brushed me off

My admiration I feel for Jake - now and will always do what I can for

Jake and other homeless here in Cedarburg - this is my calling -get to

Know them - these good decent people are around all of us - show

You care - Jake is determined on coming back to a normal life and

Living amongst us here in Cedarburg - Jake's chosen town in the whole U.S.A.

My first thought was Jake was an intelligent man that fell into

Hard times - - Jake told me he once had a normal life style - -

But disappeared with many hurtles in his way - - Jake told me

With his eviction and relationship breakdown - being hurtful

And painful - and homelessness being an extreme form of poverty - -

The lack of resources and having to choose between rent and food -

It's hard living below the poverty line, but I'm determined to come

Back and live with God's help like all people should live - - -

I'm now even more excited to help Jake and the homeless with

Everything they need - - Food - Personal Hygiene - clothing - grooming and

Bedding and more if needed and hopefully their life back to normal -

This I must do - because it's the right thing to do

OUTRO: Jake is strong - willed - determined - and will come back and live amongst

Us here in Cedarburg - leaving the homeless title behind

My admiration I feel for Jake - now and will always do what I can for

Jake and other homeless here in Cedarburg - this is my calling -get to

Know them - these good decent people are around all of us - show

You care - Jake is determined on coming back to a normal life and

Living amongst us here in Cedarburg - Jake's chosen town in the whole U.S.A.
